The server will probably stay in Europe. If we move it to the US then Aussies will get less ping (around 200) but then others will get higher and unplayable ping, for example Russians.
No matter where we place it some people will always lag much and I think it's better to stick to Europe now that we have established a playerbase while having it in Europe.

For what it's worth when the server was located in dutchland it was very playable if that's where the dedicated server is located it should be fine for everyone

We should get a server in Lebanon:

This way everyone has like 5000 ping and it's more even. (giggle)

Maybe we could get the International Space Station or the Mars Rover to host for us.

Taran, I completely understand where you are coming from as It's a business decision to keep the majority of the server happy however surely there is a Server you could get (especially with a playerbase of 200+) in the US that would be playable for all players around the world.
I know that there were Russian players with 200 ping from the US server (I remember speaking to people like Doc).
Can anything be done at all? Or is this the final decision? Surely this could be investigated further? I'm sure the server has a strong enough playerbase to fork out a little extra money to get a strong server?

It would bring more losses than benefits if server was placed in US. I'm certain that place should be chosen for sake of of majority not individuals. It is good as it is now. Pointless discussion.

Hmmm I don't think players from Russia will have more than 225 ping. I may be absolutely wrong, I'm just thinking about the fact that I played on a Moscow server with ~200 ping for years and years. I've also played a DOTA match hosted by a friend in Moscow with ~200 ping. It was far from unplayable
Not saying the server should move to the States, but it's something to consider in the long run. The Aussies simply can't PvP here otherwise :/
