Mercenary camp
#1

I've noticed a few gankers on mercenary camp, they go there and cast fs killing people macroing afk there.
I really cant find a good reason to do this, i mean.. yeah, you kill someone there afk, then what?
You probably wont be able to loot the body unless you die a lot of times and if someone goes there and see you crim he may call the guards, get you killed and steal the items you were trying to steal!
I've noticed almost every time the ganking has no objective but harassment!
So, what to do? I'd suggest doing it like the festival grounds!
Allow items to be stolen using the stealing skill, its pretty valid and its ok since we have a skill to do that, but at least do like the festival grounds:
"Festival Grounds are between the Britain Bank and the Golden Casino. PVP is enabled, but most damaging and negative spells are suppressed." (taken from eru's posting on main page).

I think this would desencourage ganking and harassment at the mercenary camp...

And before someone says something stupid, i dont need the mercenary camp since i have gmzed every combat skills and i have guild hall to macro at...

I can block FS and some other powerful spells like that if that's what everyone likes. Going to wait for some responses first. Smile It seems like a reasonable idea since it's meant to be an area for new players to get started.

I agree that we could restrict some combat there

I think the quickest way to lose players would be to lure them on the shard with hopes of starting skills and an awesomely designed mercenary camp only to be fs ganked while they are trying to get ready to venture into the world.

Disabled Energy Bolt, FlameStrike and Explosion.

PVP and most minor-damaging spells up to Lightning are enabled. This makes it still possible to kill people if they don't have a bandage in place, but you can't just have 3 guys FS a macroer at once.

I'm sure that the people who consistently go in there just to FS and ruin peoples days are also the ones that complain about low playerbase.

And that was fast!!

Yep, this is an amazing place to game, for sure!

If it keeps happening there's always the option to disable PvP and instead only allow new players in with a total skillbase of xxx

Thats a good idea, would it be possible to add some sparring partners to say the Inn in Brit, that way those of us over the limit of xxx still had the oppurtunity to use them.
A player could exceed the limit with just crafting\gathering skills. It wouldnt be fair to completely exclude them.
