Donate CPU Cycles Instead of Money!
#37

From the miner stats page: 0.0941 pending + 0.13paid :: 0.2241 total

So far, it's made about $.60 according to current rates, but that's over the course of a few days and with only an average of 2-3 people active at any given time. Dalz is a *BEAST* with his dual graphics rig and he generates a lot of shares quickly. As for actual money, I need some actual coins to cash in first and we don't have enough yet. Tongue

I'm going to start trading in nickels for shares and that's what the "Nickels" table is for in the stats page, but I haven't implemented that yet. I think it has potential, especially if it's just ran as a background thing over periods of time, but I don't think it can compare to actual PayPal donations. I'm having fun scripting the background stuff for it though. Smile

http://in-uo.net/miner/ <-- May appear broken on some browsers. I'm working on it slowly. Tongue

With current rates, that's about $2 since we started a week ago with only 3 people mining.

I think that this will work out all right, though I think people are probably breaking even on electricity. (lol)

Update again. I set up a nice payout method where you can trade 1000 shares for 1 imagine nickel. I may adjust this higher later depending on the value of the coins, etc. PM me to cash in shares for nickels. Tongue

So all the BitCoins are going to be spent on Silk Road, right? :/

Yes. Donations go toward buying assassins, drugs and unregistered firearms. Tongue

Deleted some workers who haven't been mining in the past 2 months. The people who had more than 1000 shares got nickels for the shares they'd donated. (1000 shares = 1 nickel)

If you were removed and want to start mining for nickels again, just PM me and I can re-add you. Smile

AntiVirus on which thing? Probably hide.exe since it can be used to make the program run in the background. That only happens if you check the [ ] hidden box in the tool. If it's in the miner script I made with the mining pick icon, let me know and I can see what is tripping off the AV.

This is the code for the automatic tool that I wrote: http://pastebin.com/dR0J8eVM
