I've been mining for more than 1h and I keep getting only the message:
You loosen some rocks but failed to find any usable ore.
I'm GM Miner...

Are you mining too fast maybe? Or is a macro running that's using other items before you finish mining? What happens if you close UO, reopen it, then manually double-click the pickaxe and target the ground?

Tried manually. Logged out, log in, manually again. Nothing...

ok reequiping the pickaxe worked.
