Static Purchase Information
#1

Just to make a few things general information I will list some information regarding statics and our general policies for purchasing.

Pricing
  • Statics cost 2k per tile or 3.5k if in a guarded town
  • Statics in town can only be purchased if they are not in use - for example, vendor shops will not be sold. They must also be public.
  • All static sales must first be approved by Shade or Eru
  • Prices may vary based on location and other features
  • Prices are subject to change
  • At this time only two statics per account is allowed

Custom Statics
  • A player is free to design a custom static that may be placed in the world
  • The custom static may be no larger than 18x18
  • The static must first be frozen in the world before it can be purchased
  • Creating a custom static can be done on any test server and saved via UO Architect
  • Staff will not teach you how to build a static building - Pandora is pretty self explanatory as is UO Architect
  • A custom static can replace a current static if it is not in use
  • Location must first be approved by Taran or Eru

Static Housing FAQ
  • Statics Function exactly like houses and follow the same rules and guidelines
  • Statics can be sold or traded to other players
  • It is advised to have a staff member assist with this
When purchasing a static staff will do any basic redecorating for you
  • This can include adding walls, removal of static items and minor decorations in or around the static
If a static is demolished by the owner via the house sign, nothing shall be replaced if lost.

You can purchase the roof of flat-topped statics after purchasing the static initially. However, the roof won't be accessible until it's purchased.

Static Addons
  • Players can buy private doors inside their static that will have a separate key and can be colored
  • Private doors cost 25k each
Teleporters can be purchased for roof access or for old people who can't make it up stairs
  • Teleporters cost 25k each - 50k for one that goes to and from
  • Teleporters will not be sold if it could seemingly trap a player - One to a roof with no way back down
Guild doors can be purchased for 100k
  • Guild doors can be colored and can either remain a door or match a wall
  • If a guild door is made into a wall piece it must be colored
Bank boxes can be purchased for 300k

Additional decoration can be purchased
  • Anything from roads to trees can be added
  • No items that are obtainable by normal means will be added - such as forges and anvils
  • Decorations are limited to a certain range outside the static based on its size and neighboring buildings
  • Statics in a town may not have this option

The above information is a general guideline for players to help them understand how statics work. These rules are not set in stone and may vary based on various influences such as high traffic areas.

If you have any additional questions regarding static purchasing please post here so the answer can be made public knowledge.

I am kind of curious what the difference between a static and a regular house is. I know statics are available inside cities, but what else is different about a static? It sounds like its just a custom house where you can put all sorts of cool addons and design it exactly how you would like.
#3

Yeah its basically for getting prime locations or just a building that is nicer than what can be designed with custom housing for the most part. I'd say its just mainly for players to be part of the world instead of just adding to it with normal housing.

Im going to scout out a small one in Britain and see if I can afford it. Thanks for the info.

Hey Shade, can you quote me a price on this house I am looking at? I see you responded quickly, didnt know if you were available or not.

is it possible to purchase a static, and have it moved to a different location ?
approved by you guys of coarse...
Also can tele pads be set for guild members only ? much like a guild door ?
#6

Moving the static would probably be a pain since it would involve unfreezing an area, ripping it with UOA, then refreezing it, plus having to clear out the area before/after. It is possible though, depending on the static and if it makes sense for it to be in two places.

There are no guild-only teleporters.

Here we have Town Guild?

Example:
Players may group together either as friends or as a guild and places houses near by to each other. This is a town guild. You can request special items based on the number of houses.
Town walls will be placed a the discretion of the GM. May not have large areas of empty space within your walls, you may not have any spawns within the walls, of course you may not cross roads or paths with your walls.

Gm's choose the price of the walls, but you can make something like -> 10 Houses 1Million gold, each door 50k gold etc etc...
Cant place a Town Guild inside static towns like Britain, Minoc etc... Tongue

I should come up with a building fee for building towns. Like price to lay down roads, lamps, bushes, etc. Tongue I'll work on this now and repost it when I'm done.

-edit-
Hmm, maybe not. I really don't want to have to do the math on large additions for stuff of different prices. As it is now, we will assist with setting up towns and stuff for players assuming the town is meant to be permanent. I'd hate to set up a bunch of roads and crap and then have everyone move their houses out because they found a better location.

Right now we don't have a price for it since it's just done for fun and to make a better environment. So, it's mostly done when the GM has time to add the stuff.

I do need to come up with some rules though; for example, you can't have your town walled in or have special safety measures that normal players wouldn't have access to.

sounds good! ^^ also players can buy some npcs bankers/mages etc etc 250k/300k each something like that... and if any want a personal pvp arena 500k. i think is a good idea Smile
#10

basically is a wall with door around the players houses! Smile a personal town for a guild
imagine other players trying to invade this towns... some guilds at war trying to "save" the town and others just killing there Tongue

It was called Lunatic City back on IN1 but they just had regular houses everywere.
A good spot for hunting down people though.

Agreed, that was a fun city...although annoying casting night sight upon entry >.>
I think the town at the north mines is badass! is that a guild town, or just a normal custom one?
Also, why is Icebludel not guarded like it was on IN1? With some of the mine left unguarded for PKs...that's basically what made the town popular for miners and PKs alike
