Yea hunt is hard, but who said you cant hunt alone?

Its just not cleaver go hunt alone on your first time on a dung you dont know.

Almost every dung you can do alone. Just the wrong guy you prolly gonna need help.

I prefer Alzheimer than Parkinson. Better forget to pay the beer than pour it all.

I personally think all the dungeons are easy, except Deceit. I can't stand that dungeon and would never go there alone... and the only reason Deceit is hard is because I can't be bothered remembering tricks for 30 damn rooms.

Here is a list of the places to hunt for new players, easiest to most difficult, in my opinion.
Newbie Dungeon
Orc Outposts
Vesper Graveyard (minus the back building)
Mercenary Camp
Orc Stronghold (whatever its called) south of Cove
Covetous lvl 1
Khaldun
Yew Graveyard
Shame (the first few rooms/areas)
T2A Grass and Swamp areas
Despise (until the 2nd gatekeeper)
Cove Graveyard
Hythloth lvl 1
Covetous lvl 2

Bard skills make all the difference. Provocation is well worth the effort but don't underestimate peacemaking or discord either. Archery is also a big plus. Also you don't really need scrolls to hunt unless you are after big game like the destard guardian.

Someone can offer a better opinion but honestly there aren't very many areas in the world that are hard to hunt in my opinion. That is unless you want to hunt half naked with a cleaver.

Be prepared and stay alert, thats all there is to PvM. If you haven't been to a specific dungeon before at least ask for advice, if not some company.

maybe someone should make a pvm guide?

If you have time to suggest it, you have time to do it! Good luck with that!

none the less, posting in this specific post will only help one player... people tend to put good ideas in posts that seems to be carried on to the second/third page, and not seen anymore.

We should make that sticky post and update it everytime a staff see's something... like Shade, what you just posted, is enough to start the sticky, and build up on it... leaving it in this post and having this eventually lead to the 2nd/third page wont help the next person who has the same problem...

it seems many problems have been answered or suggestions have been given but if its not there to look back at, than the same question will eventually be posed by someone else, someone new.

yeyeye!

Well maybe you should change your password or something because I've seen your character hunt before so if you don't hunt, that means someone is using your account to hunt! Maybe I should lock down your account until we figure this out before they go and make you more money.

Anyways, If someone wants to make a newbie guide to hunting in the guides section I will sticky it. I am working on a few other things and already have a guide I need to write for something else so someone else can give to the community.

I might even be inclined to give someone something if they do a very good job.

Things the guide should probably include:
A run down of the mercenary camp: quests, toughest mobs, etc
Exploring the world: Info about graveyards, orc/brigand forts, etc
First Dungeons: best places for newbie adventurers. Covetous is probably best, plus it has a good entry level quest that you can complete on the first level
Supplies needed: how much and what
Places/mobs to avoid: Places like deceit and creatures like destard guardian, explain why
Whatever else you can think of...

a little guide is done, can be found in player guides. and i hope this guide helps you with the wrong guardian, showing he isn't as strong as you guys thought.... well he is stronger than you thought but he isn't impossible to kill Wink

You need to realise something when it comes to hunting, what do you want to achieve? Do you want people to camp spawn? Do you want people to kill a bunch of lesser smalelr mobs until they get to harder mobs that drop greater loot? Or do you want people ot ente r a dungeon and have a lich lord and 3 archers raping them without any escape possible? Think about this, what do you want, and try to realise it after you plan it out.

if you read my guide.. you would have noticed i said im not done, it was a quick one just so that you know what to have and how to kill some of the better lootdropped monsters. i plan to make a guide for every dungeon (well atleast i want to)
