Happened at 1:00am EST while a deathmatch was going on. Eru was online at the time also.

The crash happened as soon as the DeathMatch ended. I'm pretty sure it happened because I entered the DeathMatch as GM to check the score, then it ended while I was inside and the script didn't know how to handle a non-player in the game.

I'm not sure though since I don't have access to the logs, but if it's the case, we need either a way to check scores and times outside the DM or to fix it so that non-player access levels won't break things.

I'm trying to get Taran to wake up now.

i think its the dm that was broken before not the fact that you joined as a gm :p

yeah i thought dm was broken which was why we never had one in a long time lol

Grr, I don't remember anyone telling me it was broken. I hosted one a few days ago and it worked OK.

Boo. I raised .3 in blacksmithy skill in the space of 5 minutes before the crash. That always seems to happen. I'm finally on a hot streak, and then what? the shard crashes. It happens with uncanny regularity. And never when I wish I could have those ingots back. /facepalm. :confused:

This kind've crap needs to stop happening. No joke. You don't build trust with the players when you're having time warps and server crashes left and right. There's no guarantee that when the shard comes back up tomorrow that all the progress will be saved. Based on the last experience we had I don't trust it.

This doesn't look good for the server and it's going to drive this brand new awesome population back into the ground.

The server is back up.
There is something with the supplysystem, might have been Eru indeed. This won't happen on the new server again though

Besides, the new server restarts automatically after a crash. So you should be able to get on again pretty fast.

Thanks for the restart, Yank. And on the sunnier side, I made the .3 back with the first batch of ingots I used. That's a relief.
