Lower the price on Randon Tubs (Tickets)
#13

i actually think you should remove the r/r wep from the stone. cause thats "the real deal" when it comes to pvp rewards. everyone is aiming for one. ppl could go around buying tickets then all of a sudden have a r/r wep. thats not fun considering hardcore pvpers lock themselves in their room, turning of the phones, isolate the whole area around them so they can focus and win when there is a big event :icon_twisted:

Oh, in my last post I forgot to mention that there shouldn't be any RP related items on the PVP reward stone since you can earn RP items by acting while this is all about skill.

Its an RP/PVP shard. There are people who only RP, people who only PvP, but there are also people who do both, which is what the shard encourages. Not to mention that while that item may appeal to rp'ers, pure pvp'ers have also told me they'd like r/r lanterns and other items besides just clothing.

another system could be a RP reward stone adn that u get rp "stones" or somethign from quests and so on that could be used on this stone or we create one big stone where u can trade in pvp tickets or rp "balls" also a idea Smile

but yes pvpers do also like rp items

I haven't been on this shard for about 2 years but I'm not exactly new to it either haha Smile

Well if you want an RP item you should have to RP, if you want to win tour tickets you have to be good at PVP. Like you said, it's encouraged to do both, so do both and then you get what you want.

Personally I couldn't care about a r/r lantern so I'm not gonna RP to get one. I want R/R cloths so I'll go to lots of pvp events, learn, get better, and hopefully start winning tours and buy my r/r cloth.

I like Odium's idea to have the ticket equivalent for RPing. Here's how I see it working...

Since tickets are given out on a limited basis; as tours are hosted it's much harder to earn 3 or 4 tour tickets then it is to hunt 250k worth of gold since monsters continuously respawn.

If there were RP balls (or whatever they're called), these could also be on a limited basis, like completing a quest that takes about 2 hours would earn you 4 balls, and a 20 minute quest is 1 ball, etc. I imagine you can only complete some quests once so now it's on a limited basis as well. Now I know there are only so many quests available, so items could cost x balls + x gold making it a little harder to get if you're not a pvper. (balances things out for those who only play one side of the server).

Well, sounds alright I guess. It bothers me though that people equate RP'er with quests. I mean from 0-70 or 80 or whatever there on in WoW now, you do quests the whole grind, hundreds or thousands of them. Does it make you an RP'er? Not a chance.

RP'ers already have a reward system in place anyway.

This sounds a lot more like a PvM'er reward system. And we're completely off topic for the thread.

Edit: Also, the only RP only item in the game is a Shroud. No other item should be labeled as RP item, because its simply inaccurate to describe an item anyone could use in such a way.

Jesus Christ you're dumb. Why the hell would R/R cloths be more PVP-related than a colored lantern!? Do you realise how ridiculous it sounds when you explain how go to lots of pvp events to get something that would just change your look, in the same way a colored lantern would?

Eighty Swords you really need to get out of that little box you're in. This is not XUO anymore, we're making a new shard, IN:X, we add new things such as new PVP-rewards. What was a PVP-related thing on XUO, does not have to be a PVP-related thing here. What wasn't a PVP-related thing on XUO, could be a PVP-related thing here. You've been this ****ing ignorant since day one of IN:X, and it seems like you still don't get this is a new damn shard, and things does not have to be as it were on XUO.

Sorry Jiraiya, I'm obviously not an RPer so I don't exactly know what someone who does RP on this shard does for fun. I was just throwing some ideas out there. Btw, I don't think the death shroud is the only RP item in the game, otherwise you wouldn't have people in the RP section of the forums asking for special items, like a sword name 'ancient's wrath' or whatever, or special colored skin, etc. To me these are all RP rewards for doing a good job, so while the death shroud might be the coolest item, it isn't really the only RP item, at least to me anyways.

How did I know that when I saw you with the last post I was going to spend my time reading something unintelligent and not contributing to the topic? I must be psychic or something! ***I predict your next post in response to mine will have another flame...***

Maybe YOU don't get something Lederoil, people have a little something called opinions and I was expressing mine. Did you not notice the first word of the sentence you quoted is PERSONALLY, as in the following words are what I think and not what you think.

Maybe you should have asked why I'm not interested in a R/R lantern but I am in R/R clothes... Here's why; when I'm running around wearing clothes that doesn't stop me from carrying a weapon. Running around with a lantern means I can't use a bow when hunting or a pickaxe to mine and now I have to hide the R/R lantern I just spent tickets on and it becomes useless, unimpressive to everyone around me while my R/R cloths still look cool and make me look unique.

On XUO R/R cloths and weapons were the biggest reward you could get. Sure there was other stuff like dye tubs but showing off one that turned out ugly (most of the time) wasn't as 'cool' as being in full R/R gear.

Yes, I am from XUO and still do have some XUO mentality but don't in the least way think I don't see this as a new shard with players having different attitudes. Even on XUO people didn't always agree with me and I didn't always agree with them. XUO was the only shard I played before INX so forgive me if I have a narrower point of view in comparison to your infinite intelligence. I never knew UO any other way then how it was on XUO and I'm trying to see things another way but sometimes I'm just used to some things and maybe I take them for granted. Kinda like how if you move furniture around in your house then walk into it in the dark because you aren't used to it being there. Well I'm not used to some things the way they are on INX and maybe I preferred the way it was on XUO so I'll post it and see if people agree with me or think this would be cool because they never saw it like that.

If I was still in my XUO box as you call it, I would say get rid of everything non PVP related, the only events should be reg, rep, cw, dm and ctf. And that everyone who doesn't run into Occlo once every 10 minutes should be banned. You don't know me Lederoil and two years ago when I last played here YOU were the exact same, frowning at any of my suggestions, comments and opinions and insulting me to try and prove your point.

Allow me add to your infinite intelligence (Is that even possible? What would that give you? Infinite plus 1? Uhoh mathematical delema here. Must get back on track...); I barley did any PVP on XUO outside of tours. I spent my time as a crafter and PVMer. Did I still want the R/R clothes and weapons? Yes, because they were the biggest reward you could earn so I spent my time joining lots of tours and building up my tickets or buying them off people. Then I went along my merry little way and crafted some more or hunted some more.

I forgot skintone, though it isnt even an item. As for weapons, those are not normally given out because r/r weap is a pvp reward. However there are some exceptions, such as poseidon getting a r/r trident, which was obviously kinda crucial to his rp, but its a complete suck weapon. You can really get pretty much anything as a RP'er if its central to your RP, but pvp'ers are limited to just things like clothes etc. Which is what this whole thing is about if we can get back to that. Let me make it clear, it was during discussions with xuo vets that the ideas for lanterns/candles, jewelery, etc. being added to the stone came up. So while your an xuo player, please dont assume just because you dont want something that others dont.

And what about people who already have r/r cloth, or rp/pvpers who have shroud? A lot of the GM skill rewards are r/r items you have to unequip at times, does that make them less cool? No.

There are also people who have newbied clothes which they have dyed their color and see no need for renamed. So what use are clothes to them? There are a lot of things your not considering.

Yes lets not ever try to improve anything above and beyond what xuo was. Wink

we have a developer on the case the prizes will drop.

The changes have been made and some items have been significantly dropped in cost. These changes will be effective on the next reboot.

Once you see the new prices for the items be sure to have an open mind about their cost vs the current number of events opposed to before. We always welcome suggestions but I feel as long as the events are being pumped out that this is more balanced now.

No, it's not.
