A while back I had a bank check for well over 60k and when I opened it in my bank it produced only a 60k pile of gold. Now, I have another bank check for a similar amount and I would love to avoid losing half of its value this time. Anyone know how to do so?

Haven't heard of that problem before. You could always page a staff member and they might see what's going on.

I tried to duplicate this with a bank check worth 120K and it consistently made two stacks of 60K. I tried from a banker, a bank box, with it in the main pack and with it in a sub-container all with the same result. Could you give more details about how to reproduce this?
Also, when you open your bank box, how many items/stones are in there?
