I would suggest uninstalling UO (again) and completely removing your UO directory. Then uninstall razor (remove the razor dir as well) and do everything in this order:

1. Install UO: Mondain's Legacy
   
2. Run uopatch.exe to patch fully to 6.0.x something. If I remember correctly you have to run it twice to patch fully
   
3. Install .NET framework 1.1 (if you dont have it already)
   
4. Install Razor
   

If you cannot patch fully that most likely means you have some files in your UO directory which are altered. That's why I suggested you remove your UO directory completely.

If you still can't connect after this, reply here again.

Well if you are using the newest version of Razor then it is not a razor issue. I think this error happens because razor cannot find the client or it halted while loading the client.
I would recommend to try selecting your client through razors login screen where it says: Load Client. I don't know if that will work but its the quickest check :p Next I would suggest the same thing with the UO Data Directory in razors login screen. If these two steps make no difference (I hate to say this) you may have to reinstall one more time. This time though make sure you follow these steps:
1. Uninstall
2. Delete your uo directory (sometimes files are left behind and mess up installs)
3. Reinstall to the recommended directory
4. Patch to the newest version (not necessary to play but it helps)
5. Install our files
6. Login with razor

I am no expert in this but I have had enough trouble with client type issues to know that these steps work for me. Good luck.

Well I am already reinstalling so I will try those razor changes in a few. Thanks for all the help, Ill edit this after I do all the above steps.

edit: Ok I DLd and installed everything and when I leave the default client UO opens but it will not allow me to connect. "There is a problem communicating with origin." When I put the new client in (the one I DLd from the download section), I get the same error I was getting before when trying to connect with razor. UO doesnt open and i get the error about map.whatever.

edit: I also can only patch to 5.0.7a. It went to 5.0.6 then stopped and when I started it again, it got an error at 5.0.7.

It's really weird that you cannot patch fully. You shouldn't have to use the client from the website to connect.
Did you try installing Razor when you patched as far as you could?

I'm actually reinstalling UO at the moment, I'll see what happens when I patch.

Ok here's what I did:

1. Uninstall UO and remove directory
   
2. Install UO and run uopatch.exe, it will patch to 5.0.6
   
3. Then run UO.exe, choose 2D and then it will patch to 6.0.92
   
4. Close UO and install Razor
   
5. Download the required files package from the website and put in your UO dir (backup existing files if you want to patch later on)
   
6. Run razor and enter the correct login details and voila, you can connect

Well, I did what you said and its patching at 6.0.0 now, further than its been so hopefully it will work now. Ill reply in a few when its successful I hope .

edit: i still get the error when I put in the username and PW where it says "Trouble Communicating with origin"

Well did you use Razor to connect and put in the correct login details?

Also, make sure no firewall is blocking your client from accessing the Internet.

yeah, I used razor and the info is correct. My firewall usually asks me if I want to allow a new program access, which it did not do this time.

edit: I turned my firewall off just sfor a sec to see and that did not change anything so I dont think the firewall is blocking it.

I checked the console and I know why you can't login, you are trying to create a new account but another account with your IP already exists.

There were no chars on that account though so I deleted it, you should be able to create a new account now

ohhh, yeah I had an account a long time ago so maybe that is why. I cant remember the username though ><. Thanks for the help.

edit: I still get the same message when I try to log in. Does it take time for it to clear the isp? Ill keep trying .
