What is this shard coming too?
#1

Well guys, I personally can say, I used to hunt xtreme liches,Ogres, and dragons. I killed 5 orges and none of them even close to the price they used to have, I used to get 3-4k, now a steady 2k to maybe a 2.2k. And Liches, 1.9k..

You can't gain from anything, tailoring = tub which is about the best, and if you gm crafts, you can't make money hardly, everything relies on money being earned from hunting, what else are they to do? You keep lowering and lowering the economy, and you will gradually lower the playerbase, and yes watch, a gm will be like, 'You don't appreciate our work, should of kept the shard closed' People have been telling you, this shard, absolutely nothing to do, EXCEPT pvp and hunt monsters, and maybe RP?

It would be most appreciated to raise the economy, TO make some money, the casino is trash, fishing is trash, what is next on the trash list? I devoted time here, and damn, I can say its getting hard, I just used 20k, and I find it hard to get it back, having 'Some' Crafts, its useless, and more then likely, this post will be like, a 'Complaining' post which made the shard go down last time, but what are they to do?

Mining, Blacksmithy, lumberjacking, carpentry, tailoring, bowcraft/fletching, inscription, alchemy, fishing, tinkering, and animal taming, these skills here, players need for the economy to be raised, so they can make some money so they won't leave. And bout the only way to get ATLEAST any money from these, is taming, smithy, inscript, or alch, everything else is useless, UNLESS you want a colored item, which weight ur pack.

This post is not to anger any staff member, but to tell my point of view, how it is, and many post are like this, and I understand you got no Dev's at the time, but this shard is one of the best out, as we speak, but it's simply getting way to hard.

I've said it a million times but never happened...
Open script -> find exceptional robe, gorget, ANYTHING sell price = current price + 10gp. You don't need a developer to do that.
#3

I also want to increase the sellprice on exceptional crafted items, at least to begin with.
But it's not as easy as you think Duke, not for me at least. The sellprice is defined in the vendor itself, with a row that looks like this: "Add( typeof( Buckler ), 25 );" where 25 is the price.

The item which is sold cannot even be tracked, you only know what kind of item it is, not what durability it has, who crafted it etc. etc. We would have to make a system to track all items.

Well, at least this is what I think we need to do if we want to fix it properly. I'll have a word with Maka and Malik though to see if it can be fixed easier in another way.

when i started the shard when it opend there wz only a few ways to begin Mineing(seling iron ore, or smelting in to daggers then heatersheilds) or crafts (selling bats) and hunting, you could farm wool all for little money. Its a hard process but it's worth it in the long run, till you can learn a good money skill like inscription/alchemy (ect), I have played on all the other shards and in-x is far the best playability i have seen it jst takes its time.
#5

There is easy way to change exceptional item selling. We just have to agree on the details. Thanks for bringing this up.
#6

Mm yeah turns out it is rather easy to change, but from what we can tell you already get more cash when selling exceptional crafted stuff.
#7

Another good point that he brings up is the weight of the colored items. What would be really nice is if another bonus of the r/r/n items that you get from GMing crafts would be to have their weights set to 0 or at least to 1 for the heavier items like bow/pickaxe/hatchet.

You can do a LOT with tailoring by the way, meaning you can make a LOT. Haven't you seen those people with maybe 30 sheep in their house? That's because you can cut the wool on them roughly every (2?) hours. That's a lot of wool on the side of hunting, which makes for a lot of cloth and therefore a lot of money from tailoring. And even if you're too lazy to actually craft something you could always just sell the cloth, and you basically have endless amount of bandies Tongue

*edit*
It's exactly 2k per 100 cotton which you turn into bolts of cloth and sell, not bad for a side job heh.

Also, on my player I can make about 10k from xtremes in about 20-30 minutes. Do this for an hour a day and at the end of the week you'll have about 150k Big Grin And that's only an hour a day. I don't think it's bad at all because if you were to really grind and spend maybe 3-4 hours a day, if you have that much time, you'd be rich in a week lol...and think, all you need is blades of spirits and a bow and arrows =O

Also, I've only been playing for about a month combined and I haven't had any problems with making money. I've had plenty of cash to pay for all my reagents for skilling up magery, alchemy, etc, and haven't had any gold problems at all. I can't log in and buy full sapphire and a vanq weapon right off the bat, but I don't expect everything to be super easy.

I understand what your saying, I actually had like 67 sheep in my house, and was still collecting, but I logged on one day and everything I had tamed was gone, sheep, horses, etc. With this being said, it is alright gold.

@ The Xtreme's, I promise you, unless I was hitting duds or something, Xtreme ogres, was only dropping around 2.1-2.2k, and the X liches around 1.8-1.9k. With 5 ogres being killed, 2 in Hyloth, 2 in the Ice place, and one I helped a friend to kill, and 4 liches, to make sure what I got each time, but like I said, maybe it was a dud hour for me.

So you got about 20K money + other items in an hour?
Doesn't sound awfully bad, and I also guess you could hunt more efficiently, but I'm obviously not sure.

Well, let me tell you ive experienced almost every aspect of the economy and they are all really good!!

Fishing= It was a reallyy good way to get money, you just had to gm it to get good shits..! You can make like 12k+vanqs+regs+scroll from every MiB!

Cartography=You definetely get some good shit from a high level treasure map. You just need to be almost GM lockpick and like 60 cartography..!
I have a small suggestion, i think maps should say their level for selling purposes.

Mining= One of the best way of making money, you can get 3k iron pretty easily and they sell for 21k, also if you are gm blacks you get alots of money from it.

Carpentry= It takes lots of logs to gm but you can get some cash from it by selling add-ons.

Lumberjacking= Its also one of the best ways of getting money and they sell really fast cause there are really few lumberjackers.

Bowcrafting= Really easy to gm and Elven bows sell really fast.

Animal taming= Stangs sell for 25-50k and when you are gm they are kinda easy to tame!..

Hunting= Liche lords had the same loot as dragonss!!! They had to lower it...!!

I can make 100k really easy daily... Just find something else to do not just hunting, I make heater shields and sell them, that trains my blacks and i get money!! I also go find some MiB, tame a stang or something!! Just dont concentrate on hunting!
