The new PvP

Ok, so I was under the impression that this server was supposed to be an IN1 clone. Well the PvP that's happening right now is not IN1 PvP. I know that it was stated that the changes made were the first of more changes to come until the PvP is on point, but imo some things def. need to be changed. This is just my opinion so nobody take is personal just stating what I think.

Right now as it stands it is next to impossible to survive a 2v1 because of the changes made to scrolls and cast times. You can't survive 2 people spamming FS. On IN1 if you were good enough you could survive and possibly win a 2v1. When this shard first started I was attacked by 3 people. I knew I was going to die but I stood and fought because I atleast got a little enjoyment out of it. Now, there is is no way I'm going to fight in a 2v1 let alone a 3v1 because there is absolutley no point. The fight will last 2 seconds as I get FS spammed to death. I understand why some of the changes were made because you could survive forever, but the PvP that is happening now is not how IN1 pvp was (atleast not how I remember it). Anyway, I'm not sure of a good resolution but I think there has got to be a happy median. I'm not a huge fan of using scrolls in PvP anyway, but I know that's always going to be a part of it. But I just don't think it should be possible for a couple people to run around naked and FS scroll people to death - Not that this has happened but I think it will start happening if the PvP stays as is because you can't survive 2 people spamming FS scrolls right now.

Anyway, that's just my thoughts, and as I said I really don't have many suggestions as how to fix it but I'm just concerned that there is going to be no point in wearing good gear around because I feel like I could get a guild mate and a bag of scrolls and go kill any one person by FS spam. And I came to this server for an IN1 clone and I really don't feel like that's what I'm playing atm. Don't get me wrong I think the staff are doing an amazing job and there are a TON of awesome PVE elements along with some other really fun things to do that make me love this shard, but I just don't feel like the PvP is on point with IN1 style pvp.

You are not the only one, mind you I never played IN1 for longer than a month.

I was thinking about this last night. 1v1 now is all luck it is whoever gets a major crit most likely wins. There is no point in using any other wep other then a barchide or a halbred in 1v1. IMO that is shitty. There needs to be something done because this is becoming more like xuo pvp without some things. I am here to play for IN pvp. I know there is a bunch of xuoers here and im glad to see you here but this isnt xuo. Something needs to be done or alot of people will be leaving including myself.(i reread this after i posted kinda sounds like a threat but its not. I started playing again for IN pvp I think staff do alot epically SHade Eru and Taran and im very grateful for this shade knows. I just wont enjoy playing if things arent changed)

Yeah I totally agree with the crit comment. Whoever gets that lucky crit first is going to win the fight it's really that simple. And yes I also agree that the PvP style is going in the direction of INX PVP. I didn't play INX much because I hated the PvP there. I worked my character up to play IN1 style. I loved that server and I really hope that some tweaks can be made to make this an IN1 clone like it was intended to be. And again, I'm not trying to bash the staff in way, shape, or form I greatly appreciate the work they have put into this server and I am enjoying playing it again, but IN1 is what I'm looking for so hopefully that's what we'll get when it's all said and done.

I agree with everything that's been stated here. 1v1 is now whoever gets the other player to 50 hp first wins. Hally crit is all it's about. Perfect knows all about it.

When I first started here I was attacked by 4 members of TRU, and ran around Brit keeping them at bay (I got away multiple times from 4 people). If I tried that now I'd be dead in 5 seconds. Absolutely impossible to survive anything more than 2v1, and honestly 2v1 you probably can't survive either.

Make all scrolls cost same mana and do same dmg/healing as spells. Give them a faster cast time. That's IT. I liked the changes to scrolls but I'm noticing too many issues...

Habibi you read my mind i told shade this last night make scrolls and spells dmg the same. But make scrolls cost more mana and a little faster. Thats all that needs to be done. they can consume 5-10 more mana for scrolls then i think it would balance out perfect.

I like your idea Habibi, making the only advantage to scrolls be a faster casting time. Imo you should not rely on scrolls to PvP. What's the point in having a spellbook if you rely primarily on scrolls? I mean scrolls are a nice perk to pvp, but that's what they should be, a perk. I really don't think I should have to run around with 20 FS, 40GH, and 40 Lightning scrolls to be viable in PvP. Just my 2 cents.

Yap that's why I think they should be same dmg/healing as normal spell with faster cast time. I said same mana cost but when I think about it, some scrolls would need tweaks to mana costs. FS scroll should DEF cost same mana and do same dmg as fs spell. It should only be faster. Lightning should do same damage same mana, only faster. GH should be same healing done only fast, I don't know yet about mana cost. MR scroll faster same mana cost. my opinions.

I also think that normal spells, when you fizzle, should not take mana. That way you can fake people out. Keep scrolls the way they are on fizzle though. That way you can cast fake fs's to make the other person heal and waste mana. My opinion.

Edit: If you are going to stay the route of taking mana on fizzle, it should be 100% of the cast mana. Honestly, It should be all or nothing. People will complain that losing 100% mana cost on fizzle is too much and will suck, but it's legit, trust me. If all scrolls took same mana as spell did same dmg/healing but were faster, and you lost 100% mana cost for fizzle, that'd be balanced as hell... Think about it.

When you say you want PvP to be like IN1 I really hope you mean how it was in the beginning of the shard, when noone used GH scrolls and the fighting was about invul armor and vanq weapons.
Problem is that's very hard to recreate, since not many people knew how to PvP. Now basically everyone knows how to survive, what weapons to use etc etc.
The PvP on IN1 at the end was crap really, with GH scrolls that healed 50 hp and Hell's Halberds / SoV and HF that were over tweaked and cheap. Or would you rather have that?

And I dont really get why you should be able to survive 1v2 or even 1v3, unless you are really good. I mean, you ARE outnumbered. Yeah you could survive 1v2 before we changed scrolls, but it was almost impossisble to kill anyone 1v1.

You say you want IN1 PvP, but some of the suggestions you make was not IN1 PvP. On IN1 you did FS scroll players in group fights, you did wait for a crit with your weapon before finishing him off etc.
With no skillcap there is bound to be one way that is always the best way to kill someone, and that's what people stick with. And if you want to survive a gank by yourself, 1v1 is definitely going to be boring.

All im saying is GH scrolls need to heal more then what they do now. They are to under powered for how fast fs scrolls are.
