Did 1270 casts of nightsight the other night and got 2.5 gains. When I started my skill was 74.6.

After another 600 casts:

Magery: 71.0 (+1.9, 31.5 actions / gain)
Healing: 70 (+.9, 67 actions / gain)
Meditation: 99.5.0 (+1.5)
Anatomy: 87.0 (+.4)
Eval Intel: 75.7 (+2.3)

Magery is DEFINATELY easier than healing now.

So. After 1200 casts, Ive done:

Healing: 67.9 > 70.0 (+2.1, 57 actions / gain)
Magery: 67.6 > 71.0 (+3.4, 35 actions / gain)
Meditation: 97.0 > 99.5 (+2.5)
Anatomy: 85.5 > 87 (+1.5)
Eval Intel: 71.5 > 75.7 (+4.2)

Magery: 73.0 (+2, 45 actions / gain)
Healing: 71.0 (+1, 90 actions / gain)
Meditation: GM Big Grin
Anatomy: 88.3 (+1.3)
Eval Intel: 78.2 (+2.5)

Total (~2100 casts):
Healing: 67.9 > 71.0 (+3.1, 68 actions / gain)
Magery: 67.6 > 73.0 (+5.4, 39 actions / gain)
Meditation: 97.0 > GM
Anatomy: 85.5 > 88.3 (+2.8)
Eval Intel: 71.5 > 78.2 (+6.3)

1038 Magic Arrows / Heal attempts:

Magery: 75.3 (+1.9, 55 actions / gain)
Healing: 73 (+1.1, 94 actions / gain)
Anatomy: 94.1 (+~5)
Eval Intel: 81.2 (+3)


Seems like Ive done 5000-6000 casts so far. That is getting from about 55 to 75. That is about 20-24k. At 75 magery I can pretty consistantly cast 7the circle spells, and I dont really fail on 6th circle (Energy Bolt, Explo, Mark). I can gate about 75-80% of time now I think.

So eh, its definately not bad. Your average player could do this in a week of hunting and macroing. A determined player could make that 20k in a day, and then spend the next day macroing, and be well up into the 70s range.

That means it has also taken me about 4500-5500 heal attempts (about 500 less heal attempts than casts, since I started with poison), but with that I only got from about 60 to 72 (got around a point naturally in this time frame). So yeah healing is definately slower than magery now.

well i read that you like more details about magery so here it goes...

simple macro as magic arrow and then bandageself etc...

with 2850 Sa * 4 gps = 11400 gps

Base

magery start: 71.2
Magery end : 76.4 5.2 points increased

this means 2850 / 52 (5.2pointsX10) = 54.81 spells for a 0.1

im gm healing so i cant say how much skill i gained.

I should say magery is the almost only way to get money for a PVPer, so I think it´s important to mantain this skill as fast as possible to increase. This will never ruin economy (since mobs loot are very low) and will bring some customers for crafting players Wink

1500 Magic Arrows:

Magery: 78.5 (+3, 50 actions / gain)
Healing: 76.2 (+2, 75 actions / gain)
Anat: 94.6 (+1.9)
Eval Intel: 86.6 (+4.7)
Resist: No gain (I guess you only gain with poison).

BTW, I havent failed an FS or Gate since the last time I macroed.

Lol. My healing is higher than yours now and I haven't casted one spell or trained any combats with anyone, nor have I been hunting.
