Shard needs action!! 24/7
#13

Splinter, it's a LONG time ago that you had been active.. (Back in the days my main name was Blackfog on XUO, i had alot others but i can't remember names, except for Poseidon)

Just like Maka said if everything is fine, people will come back to play to this shard. My brother (Da Chipo did log in a few times the last weeks, his explanation was that the shard is boring). If i see that there just are 40-50 people online i'm not the guy more who will play then (which i did in the past). But when the wheater goes even worse then it is now. I am sure that we will join again (i will though).

And tournaments doesn't make a shard to life, the people make the action..!
(It's just bad that since Xuo1 (Jakko's) i have never seen that much action more, eventhough it's tried) One thing is just that people nowdays are scared to loose e.g. an iron armor, an force weapon and scrolls/pots (i must say it takes to much time to make those, don't know if it changed in the last 3/4 months)

Sup Blackfog? You know the only thing standing between the shard being "boring" and full of life is 5-10 ppl thinking the way you do. If all those 5-10 ppl would instead think "hey, if I join, then perhaps others will too, and then we'll have lots of fun ganks going on!", then the shard would already be full of life :]

There's plenty of ganking now actually, it's just too bad it's at one moment, and the next moment it's all empty again. Why? - because when ppl loose in a gank-fight they decide to log off, go idle, or just hunt or whatever, because they don't like to die or suit up again. I think that if more people should just suit up again, bring more friends, get back out there, and take REVENGE on the people who killed them, then the action would last a loong loong time :]

So in other words - come back, and bring your friends! ^^

Hate

Eastern time nights are boring as fu-ck. Its practically a ghosttown. I think there alot of people that go to the events but after its over they go back to their usual macroing.

During event times we have the most amount of players online, If a new player comes and joins and see that events are being hosted and there is alot of people online then he/she might think good this server is active blah blah lets give it a go.

During the day i sit around bored as hell waiting for something to happen. Last night the server was dead and i asked a gm(who was sitting around doing nothing) to host a tournament, and he said tournaments are boring its just the same old thing different day.. That is not the kind of attuide we need with the staff. I dont know if he was being serious or not but no tournament was hosted.

I wish you'd just listen to us players whining for tournaments, because were whining for a reason.

In all honesty when I first became GM I wanted to host whenever I could to give players something to do. Though as I hosted more and more I noticed players just started sitting around even more, doing nothing and waiting for the next event. I do not want this and me hosting more will only make it worse.

Events aren't the fix for boredom, you are. By you I mean the community of course, not putting the load on a single player :p One little bit of effort can cause a chain reaction that inspires other players to do the same. The more you sit at the pits all day, so will other players. Go out and help create the environment you want for the shard. We as staff can only do so much, it is the players who really build this shard and keep it running.

were currently ganking right now, or we were but yeah, once people die they start sitting around. A few tournaments wouldn't hurt.. Sad)

I have to say that Shade is right.. I remember that at the start of Xuo2 GM's (or higher) as Odium, Hate, Muto and Maka tried to make the shard LIFE by making tournaments, with the reason people would join the shard. Sometimes there were 4 or 5 tournamens after eachother (mostly the reason was that there were 2 tournaments hosted the GM logged off and at that point another GM came online and his thought went to "This is a Good time to host"). So people went to the pits or their place or were joking around in a town to wait for the next tourney. They reveiled themself as a bunch of whiners..!

Ztokey, are you playing then? And are there other old "hotties" around?
The point you made can be true, but i believed in this point of view on our last two Xuo tries. But it didn't had much effect.

I know what you mean with the waiting around thing though. After tournaments i do wait around for another because they are extremely fun and thats when everyone is having fun.
