I there should be this rule...
#13

so wait just because a max bard is worth 500k(i know its more, just for the sake of an example) I have to increment by 25k?

10 bids already get you to 750k, u know how fast that can go by? 5 mins i give it.

anyways shade i thought u said players should always set the economy prices (i remember a thread about the bs scrolls), people are allowed to bid wtv they want to sure it may be a low ball but it happens irl.

why not have set prices for bs scrolls/mana pots then?

I'm sure when Shade said this he didn't imagine that the only thing the players did as far as to set the economy was by lowballing auctions with 500gp to 1000gp bids on items already going for 400k+.

I think the players/top merchants should get together and form a Crafter's Union that could somehow meet and discuss issues regarding the economy that are within player control. If anyone here is interested in forming such a union please post and we can get together ingame and discuss this. I am sure the staff would be happy to assist us if we needed it, within reason. It could also be a nice way to RP.

You realize that I am talking about static auctions here right.... This has nothing to do with expendable items.

I think Luda was just pointing out that all types of Auctions are experiencing this "lowballing".

I agree and if you are having an auction for your own item on the trade forum state in there that min. bid accepted is 1k higher then current or something like that. I often wounder why more people don't state things like that when you have some fools bidding 1 gp more then the last like its a joke, so much spam like that in auctions it seems.

Shade Wrote:5k increment on anything under 250k.
250k - 500k = 10k increments.
500k - 750k = 25k increments.
750k and up = 50k increments.

That seems fair in my opinion. I would also say that the increments should be based on the initial pricing of the static not its current bid, to avoid confusion and headaches.

Just my opinion on the matter. I do agree a set minimum bid wouldn't hurt.

See that would be perfect.

I was assuming this was for all auctions (items + static)

I think on players auctions theyself count put the minimum price to bid.

If was me, on those auctions I saw lately, where people was biding 1gp on itens going for 50k, I was going to set a minimum price for like 5k. So people stoped ****ing around.
