Im having huge troubles trying to place a house, it seems it needs a lot of free space to put it, much more than the house actually need, a simple rock or piece of grass blocks your house too (even if you can walk over them), it seems pretty strict doesnt it? Am i the only one having troubles with that?

3 tiles in front and back, 1 tile on each side needs to be clear from rocks/trees/etc or it won't place.

That's how it was on OSI. I believe it was even 5 tiles north/south. The terrain had to be level. You could place on the small rocks and plants, but not larger boulders.
