I Broke UO - Lamby - 04-08-2012

I closed UO by right clicking on the icon in the task bar and selecting close window, and now when I open UO in razor i can log in and connect but when I select my character just as it logs in the window disappears. The UO icon is still in the task bar and i can see the character in game in the mini window that opens when mouse over uo icon in taskbar... but clicking on it doesnt bring up the game to full size. Im using windows 7 ultimate. Has anyone experienced this? I close UO and restart but the problem persists. I restarted comp but problem persists...

Put your cursor over the minimized window to bring up the preview, then right click and choose maximize.

Experienced twice.

1. Go to Desktop folder in your UO folder. There'll be the account folder -> the shard folder -> your character's folder.
2. Delete desktop.uos

This happens to me all the time and that's how I fix it. Deleting that file may also fix it but you may have to re-add all of your spell icons, etc.

I just don't have that Maximize button.

Whenever this happens to me I just exit and restart razor. When the client opens and you are at the login screen, maximize the window before you log in. This works for me at least, and it's a lot less of a ***** than having to replace your spell icons.

Ah... that might work. I'll try next time I crash and the problem will show its real face to me.

You're all wrong. The problem was beer... I had none. So I went to the store to get some and when I got back it just worked.

Beer. Is there anything you can't fix?

To fix it the easy way just hit alt enter then! once its full screen hit alt enter again and it will go back to normal.
