I know dragons and drakes cannot be tamed, but is there anything that can, which is actaully worth it as a "tank" for some PvM action?

My llama doesn't seem to do the job, so mabye someone knew of something out there worth getting and taking into battle Smile

I think you can tame nightmares if i remember correctly from and another thread, they're quite strong and can be used as tanks =o

EV and provo server Big Grin u cant tanks as a human and that sucks, i like the blood from old times when we was afew hunting and hitting the monster vid swords! Right now i just stand beside and watch ,

i still get in and swing my sword, but the EVs does the tanking. Id just love to get rid of the EV and use something els. Mabye a nightmare is the answer. I honestly wish drakes and/or dragons could be tamed. If they could be tamed but not used in PvP i think it would be nice

It would be cool if you could tame a drake, but it could not attack other players (seems easy enough to script, but I know nothing about scripting). I agree though, it would be cool to be able to tame creatures you could actually use in battle. It may be imbalancing in PvM so you couldn't make it TOO strong in PvM.

I think there are a lot of questions that have to be answered before allowing tameable animals to use in PvM. If it can't hit players (required to prevent use in PvP), can players hit it? How much damage does it do? take? Would need to balance it somehow with EVs. Not having to use mana for summons in PvM would mean you could trivialize it even more (by summoning EVs alongside it).

I think one of the best things to use would be the Deepwood Bears since they're nearly as strong as a nightmare and more readily available. It would be fun to hunt with an army of bears. ;P

Where would i find one of those?

Explore! You'll find them eventually Tongue

Sounds like thy are deep in some cave likely or perhaps in the middle of an uninhibited area. If you're a tamer you are probably used to adventures like this Smile.

I sell em for 4k on my vendor, marcus. If you want a bunch, let me know and i'll give u a discount

They're in an area that's pretty much all woods with no civilized towns around for a looooong way. If you fire up UO cartographer, you should be able to find the area I'm talking about. Tongue

It would be nice to have pack instinct. On UOG you could successfully hunt larger more powerful mobs with a pack of hellcats.
