If you d-click the stack it should equip one, but instead it gives you a message that says you can't equip more than one item

yea i think so, but it doesnt do this with other weps because daggers are customized to be stackable. if i double-click the stack with nothing in my hands it does the same

There's no easy way to do this as far as I know actually, so it will have to stay like this for the moment.
