All buy command - Eighty Swords - 04-19-2009
Is it possible to add an all buy command that would open the buy lists for all vendors within a certain range or within sight?
This would make buying resources to craft so much faster when you combine it with a razor buy agent
Before someone asks, YES I am too lazy to type in different vendor names or running to different vendors and saying vendor buy :p Just one of those 'convenience' things that would be cool.

Do what I do when I know I need a ton of something.

Make a bag of runes and then make a macro that casts poly-daemon, recalls to each rune, says {vendorname} buy for each vendor, recalls to bank and organizes them into a drop-bag if you're overweight.

I do exactly that except the polymorph part since I haven't been buying heavy supplies or that mass of quantities of lighter items yet. I add the items I want to a buy agent in Razor, enable the agent and say vendor buy or <vendor name> buy over and over and recall around from one shop to the next. An all buy command would just speed it up a bit. And again, yea I am that lazy :p

that wouldn't work out because if people only want a certain ammount and have the buy agent on they will overbuy they're supplys

But he wanted to add a comand for it and not everyone that says buy will buy from all vendor in the area, the guy need to use the command.
Also on razor agentes you can set the amount you wanna buy, like 50 , you just gonna buy 50 dosnt matter how much vendor are there.
I dont tested it but I think it work, not sure.

well it's not hard to buy regs man lol, he wants to change everything to make it easier that's not uo that's just being lazy in general

Like Ryuuku said Razor buy agents have limits for each item on the list so it won't over buy, and you'd have to use the command for it. The regular "vendor buy" or "<vendor name> buy" would work as usual.
Why does everything have to be about making UO 'too easy', can't anyone think of something being convenient instead of too easy?
And yup, I am lazy that's why I suggested it

straight up honestly i think all the work trying to code to do wut u said isn't worth it for the 2 seconds you have to type in the name and buy

You're probably right but I thought I could put it out there anyways. If we always think like that then nothing would get added... 'all that code for a new armor that nobody will use :/'

a diff armor is different than not having to write out the vendors name
totally different, idk how u connected the two tbh
EDIT:
I'm not talking about the lines of code, i'm talking about time spent on something that is useless imo when it takes 2 secs to write out the vendors name

It's DL logic, don't worry about it lol

The reason why its considered lazy is because anything beyond what razor/injection/EasyUO offers is pretty lazy. I am rather familiar with 2 of those progs and with a bit of know how you can practically play without playing.
Back in the day before 3rd party progs, UO was awesome and you earned everything you had. Now you damn whippersnappers get everything handed to you and its still not enough!
