This Sunday after reboot a starting skill package will be added.
All new characters created will get 0 skills from the beginning and instead the player will get a gump where they choose 3 skills they want to begin with.
How many points you get depends on what skill you choose, but they range from 55-100.
For example: You get 55 in animal taming but 100 in tactics. And dont worry, you will see how much you get in each skill in the gump.
And we haven't forgotten about existing characters. You will find a skill stone in pits, just doubleclick this and you get to choose 3 skills to boost as well.
This stone can only be used once per character, but you can use it one time on every character on your account. But as usual, multiple accounts are not allowed, meaning you can have a maximum of 5 boosted chars.
So go tell everyone that stopped playing because skillgain was too hard! We know being a newbie is really difficult, that's why we decided to do this instead of increasing skillgain.
Hope you like it!
Oh, and everyone will start with 100/100/100 in stats.

This skill stone absolutely rocks, cant wait for sunday

This offers a really nice boost to any player no matter their playstyle or if they are long timer or new player. Well done staff! The stone has a ton of great skill combo possibilities. I can see actually making some new chars now to do certain things I wouldnt have bothered with before like lumber and mining

Hey very cool idea. I'm tell the players I know about this to try to get them back on and playing again. But me and other INX players are going to running a game room with pool tables and other things and a pc repair shop next to it. And I was wondering if I could advertise the shard to customers to get more players just to get on and pvp or macro. But that ANTI MACRO GUMP may lead them away if they craft, I understand why it is there , but they may not like the idea. Is it going to be disabled in the future or not, If it is disabled it may bring a whole lot more players old or new to the shard to play again.
Good job on the shard I have a few more ideas Ill post later in suggestions and ideas keep up the good work.

Token: The anti-macro gump only appear when using harvest skills. And those skills are mining, lumberjacking and fishing. We need this gump so people can't afk macro for days and get tons of cash with no effort at all.
Ryuuku: When you choose a skill to boost it will only boost to the level it says. If you have 71 in a skill and you can only get that skill boosted to 70, then nothing will happen if you choose it.

[sarcasm] Oh, boo, I was going to try to get 165 smithing. [/sarcasm]
Token! *slaps* There should NEVER be free reign to afk macro resources. That kind of thing destroys economies absolutely!

Agree 100%
The anti-macro gump is absolutely essential to giving resources true value.

Ya i know afk macroing resources will lower the economy or kill it. But it is tough for one player to tackle one skill such as blacksmithy. Well the new boost may help alot of players. In my other post I was wondering if it was going to be disabled. And some players may not like the ANTI MACRO GUMP.
Rabbi Samild *KICKS* Takes 75% of gold from bank and runs. Because u afk macro cutting wool and got BOAT LOADS OF GOLD.
Jiraiya *Agree 100%* It does keep the economy in check with players who want to afk macro resources.
(But it does make it crappy to play when it malfunctioned that one time hopefully no more ever ever ever. Is it a good idea to have a post that explains the anti macro gump why it is there, how to answer it that way a new player wont get killed by it.)

This must be a common misconception, so let me dispel this myth for the last time. The respawn for sheep was not only 3 hours, but it was accompanied by the same ANTI MACRO GUMP that you've been complaining about. It also popped up every 10 sheep or so and I had to satisfy about 40 AMGs whenever I would shear. Not only was shearing a pain in the ass (it took me 45 minutes of sitting here typing in stupid ****ing words from the website), but the spinning of the wool and then using the cloth to make bandanas was also a huge pain in the ass and took 12 hours a day to spin. Yknow what that means? That means that I had no time to macro things like making EV scrolls, mana pots, or training skills.
Taming the sheep, buying the keeps to house them, and spending the time setting up the pens was no walk in the park either. Since sheep were nerfed and I had to start to earn gold the good old fashion way (and by the way, I had all crafting skills GMed before I ever tamed a sheep) I've made well over 10 mil gold hunting. So no more complaints about how I've made "all of my money" from sheeping because it's far from true.
Kthx

Either way, I think this is a great move. I hope it will foster the growth of the shard by allowing players to just jump in and go balls to the wall without weeks of resource gathering *****work and hunting weak ass monsters! Hopefully it will be enjoyable from the get go.
Regards.
