Hey.
Are y'all able to update your UO installation?
I downloaded my installation from FilePlanet, installed it and did absolutely nothing but went straight to the uopatch file and it would just not update.
Here's the log:
Code:

Your client may not be the most recent version.
You may be able to play the game with your current client.
Check http://www.uo.com/ for help on resolving patching issues.
Click OK to play the game or Cancel to abort.
As you may see, it attempts to download something but then it just cuts off and that's it.

Is it possible that you may have had some pre-existing files from an old install in the folder you installed UO into? I actually have the same exact issue (can't get past 5.0.0a) but haven't got around to reinstalling yet.
If you uninstall, delete the UO directory (to ensure no files are left behind) and then reinstall, this issue should no longer happen and you should be able to patch fully.
That being said, you can still play with that client. Some people even use an older client. Of course there a few things you may not be able to see.

I tried uninstalling and deleting and it won't work.
The reason I need to update so badly is because with my client, some places like Brit docs and the Casino are dark. Like the darkest possible night and even In Lor doesn't help much. The screen is just black so I tried to put instead that client from this site, but it won't work because this client is of a version that requires map1.mul
At some point OSI separated Felucca and Trammel into two different map files and so my installed version is below that point, and the client file on this site is above
So, any solution to this?

This is what I wrote in another thread:
Quote:
- Uninstall UO and remove the directory
- Install UO and run uopatch.exe, it will patch to 5.0.6
- Then run UO.exe, choose 2D and then it will patch to 6.0.92
- Close UO and install Razor
- Download the required files package from the website and put in your UO dir (backup existing files if you want to patch later on)
- Run razor and enter the correct login details and voila, you can connect
I just did this about a week ago and it worked fine. Your log says "resuming" and that means you still had the patch folder in your UO directory.
If you really have uninstalled completely and then removed all UO dirs and you still get the same error I'm not sure what it can be.
Make sure you firewall isn't blocking it or something like that.
Moving this to technical forums.

Alright I'll try this.
Thanks!
