Kills [Eazy To Fade] - imported_ScareCrow - 11-15-2007

Hey,

i personally think that kills should take much more time to leave then they do.. i had 10 kills, macro'd all night.. i was blue the next night.. i find it alittle dumb that pk's turn blue so fast again. Im saying this 4 the futur, kills should not leave this fast in my opinion, it should take a cornucopia of time or should have a price to be paid. If you choose to kill, you should live with that kill on you. For the kids that will argue " i don't want to stay red" blah blah.. thats a part of pvp, it will also promote more gank and more activity in red citys seeing as all killers will stay pk longer :icon_twisted:

Thank You.

I actually like the idea of being able to buy them off. Basically would be like bribing the law enforcement, heh. Maybe like 100k per kill? That would make it so that people who just have to have that occasonal kill, but aren't really the "murderous" type, can still live relatively normal lives despite having committed crimes. Still, of course, it would keep consistant PKers from doing it, because that would just be tons of money.

I somewhat agree. Kills should be lost after 8 hours I think but adding a system where kills could be bought off would keep the world from being flooded with money. A price that wouldn't be too insane but still expensive.

I have to say that I do agree with the fact that kills are something you need to live with. Though in a world filled with murderers a few kills wont label you as a murderer forever so they do have to slowly lose their value, so to speak.

Default on sphere was 8 hours per kill....

I like the idea aswell. Although 100k would be a way too much Wink I guess 10k would be ok. It would still be expensive for just one kill.

I think the argument against that, like Tabion said, is that we live in a world where killing isn't really that uncommon. A person whos killed once but hasn't done it in a while will have to work to get a good reputation again (I.E. Karma), but they wouldnt be flagged to the same degree as someone who kills everyday for fun, heh. That is why kills fade (because if you arent killing anyone, people would tend to forget, since there are more dangerous people around).

And about the buying-off the law, yeah 100k might be a little steep, heh. Somewhere between 5-10k would be good.

However, I think it should rise with the economy. It would be just like in real life, if the cops saw everyone making more and more money, they would naturally demand more. Right now, most people are spending or saving their resources for skills or major items (houses, guildstones, etc), so they can't afford to bribe the law with much. But in a year or so when it isnt uncommon for people to have 500k chilling in their bank, and dozens of suits of armor and bags full of weapons, then yeah bribes from 50-100k would make sense!
