You can mine 150k ingots in about 50 hours... semi-afk too. It's not like people are sitting at their computers actively mining anymore. It's insanely easy to get loads of ingots as it is.

PLUS... if you get a return of 3-4gp per ingot selling daggers then you're only spending 6-7gp per ingot when you buy from other players. When I trained smithing people were selling for 7-9gp so all I had to do was mine about 1/2 of them.

I also have to agree with everyone that says it's the most useful crafting skill. It's used to make all the best armors and all of the best pvm weapons.

I originally thought this was a bug when crafting with non-iron ingots was enabled for things other then platemail, but apparently this is the way staff want it. They don't want you to craft a black diamond bardiche, they want you to use black diamond ingots to make a bardiche and end up with it being a regular bardiche. Obviously nobody would do this knowing that the black diamond would turn into iron but it's an example.

Smoke, not always you could have done this. This was introduced after some time that the server was live.

LOL no not before server was live, i used this in the summer to train on blacksmithy so it's prolly been here way before that time aswell

Its here since ends of 2008.
I started playing again in july 2008 not sure, And I remember just after finish my mining, I used my ingots for BS, and just like 1 or 2 weeks after that they made that change.

So I think it was changed around August or September, maybe October 2008.
