Maybe we can integrate Elcid's idea. Like freezing when you get the gump and if you don't reply within 3 mins you also get killed (while still having the gump and being frozen). Only when you enter the correct code will you be unfrozen (but still dead).

I'd make it so dead players can't enter the merc camp. On IN1 I had to run all the way to the other side of minoc to res. plus, having miners blocked off from the mine at the minoc bridge is what prompted many minoc fights on IN1.

That solves any concern I can think of, and removes the need to jail/reset stats/nuke items because you just can't afk macro.

This sounds like a great solution to a recurring problem with less negative effect.

Also another good thing that could be incorporated into the idea.
Azzo Wrote:EDIT: The only problem is that sometimes the gump takes up to 3 hours to appear. So you could conceivably just leave your macro running for an hour knowing you won't get killed when the gump eventually pops up. Come back, unstone yourself, and leave it running an hour or so again. You can kind of do that now, but the risk is death and looting/decaying. Maybe clear the backpack of ore/ingots if stoned for longer than 15 minutes /shrug.
This is also something that I see as a little issue, sometimes I've mined for several hours with no gump (I remember mining for half a day on more than a few occasions with no gump). Which means if someone is AFK mining they could go several hours and gain a lot of ingots before encountering being frozen and/or killed if the above suggestion is implemented. As annoying as the gump is, maybe make it more frequent. I'm not exactly sure how it works but is there a way to insure it doesn't go longer than a couple of hours without at least having a gump? Yes it'll be more annoying but it'll reduce the amount of ingots gathered while afk if someone still tries it if the stoning/kill system is added.

Turbonegro completely broke anti afk macro and I saw him notorious dying in mt kendall, every time you were able to see 3-5 bodies of turbonegro and he was still mining. That jerk publicated his macros on forum and when got cought he removed them? He published them and that means he allowed me and every guy in interenet to use it so I pasted all his macro again in his thread.

It's not greedy it's called copy right.. he reserves the right to remove his own scripts if he wishes.

Copy right? He published it so its not protected by copyright law anymore. The funniest thing is that after being cought he deleted it. Little kid got mad. Even if it was protected, why should we obey that rules while he didnt obey shards rules? This is the greed not the copyright.

Honestly man it's not worth it we have 3 different publicly available mining scripts for Mt. Kendall already.

this is his work. He is smart enough to make such script and you are lazy kid who wants to use that others did without no respect.

Wait, does this mean I no longer can consistantly harvest Turbonegro for ingots? :<
If you can not respond or react in game, then that is the equivalent of being AFK.
You can ***** all you want that you have a job or other real life scenarios that limit your time to play. If you don't have time to play then that is no one's problem but your own. That does not justify you in any form of AFK macroing. Be it miles away from your keyboard or with your UO minimized.
