okay, everytime i stop by to see what the forums look like i ask myself why i keep on wasting my time on playing this game or trying to set things right.
The PVP style will not change , thats a fact, though there could be some modifications, why not? Besides the spamming issue is an important thing to look out..sure spamming is meant to hide our spells , but not to annoy the hell out of everyone ..so yeah.. im down with setting some kind of delay on it.
Now, i see this guy Diabolical exposing his ideas or suggestions to the public and most of the times he ends up getting flamed by some ppl ( some of these ones are even friends of mine ). God, if you want this whole thing to work then you better start respecting the other people you're playing with , and more important , to discuss every single thread like the mature persons we are . Seriously people, this is a game , and sure we got to make some enemies to make the gaming experience a little bit more fun..but filling the forums with loads of crap is not helping at all. So as long as you keep the crap ingame , its gonna be alright. Just try to keep the forums clean please..its for the best..
regards

If people are going to try to make revisions to the XUO style of pvp, do it intelligently, instead of demanding. I'd agree with Slaquer on his points.

wold Wrote:the only concern i have is that armor/melee should have some sort of input on the pvp. If we could keep xuo style pvp but make it so we have hand to hand combat combined with wearing good armor i'd be happy.
I think this is the main point in these fights. Even though magery is fun and all, not having the real need for hand-to-hand combat leaves some strategy out.
PvP, in my opinion should be as follows. Fight starts, harm or some other low mana spell to counter magic reflect. Poison or a simple FS. If unsuccessful, then hand-to-hand. Wait for mana to recharge and the other fighter has low enough health, finish him with a well placed FS.
I do not believe that everyone wants to change the current PvP system. I believe that people just want it to incorporate hand-to-hand combat a bit more. More then likely to give PvP a new twist.
That's my 1 nickle and 3 pennies...

SOunds about right ^^^.
And i have always been a hater of spam, and always will be. Pvp sohuldnt be about holding down a button and trying to confuse the enemy. Such a lack of skill if you ask me, and extremely irritating.

Its actually not a lack fo skill, the person who lacks the skill is the one being tricked.
If your good, you wont be tricked.

PVP does require weapons...only if you a newbie someone is able to kill you with spells only. Also ganking almost never requires weapons on any shard.

Yeah, i havent done alot of PVP due to my lag, but what i have done is a mix of melee, magery and ranged weapons... ill admit that there is more magery than normal but its nothing major... im slowly learning the PVP system.... scarecrow has given me a few pointers etc to which has helped.

BTW, everyone check out the poll in the voting booth section. Im trying to maybe get all these opinions into one, easy-to-read thread.

As the PvP Coordinator at INX,
I agree that the our wop command can do with a bit of slight tweaking however I do not agree that magery and healing are useless. Magery is required for many many actions, PvP included. Figure them out. Healing is just as important other than the obvious fact that it heals you, it can also be used as means for PvP strategy. Think about it. What is your main objective other than sending ur opponent back to oblivion? Having them run low on mana.
Other than that 'minor' adjustment, there is nothing wrong with our PvP.
Diabolical- you enjoyed ***** and "old *****" pvp. THAT pvp was a load of shit my friend. It was slow, it lasted years because of items such as total mana refresh potions, scrolls were blatent and boring; no variation. He who lagged less was the winner.

I really don't think there is anything "wrong" with this pvp but something like ar based spells can add to it. Seriously, how boring is it to use the same two attack spells over and over... Thats why I loved IN pvp so much. It wasn't the best pvp at all but you could have so many different strategies and tactics.
Well actually it would be cool if there was a way to block instant res and instant cut. There is no skill in that and it is kind of lame. Anyone can set a key for these things but when you do it manually it matters who is faster. When something needs rl dexterity, reflexes and accuracy, that is what determines skill in my book. Just to note, I am not suggesting this should be changed because I know 80% of the shard would quit if they didn't have their programs and macros aiding them, I was just talking to myself.:p
I don't see any variation here either and if someone lags they normally die, no matter what shard.
