I paged to buy the static not knowing it was up for "auction" so since i heard it was in auction I requested to buy the the 4th room instead and was told it must be auctioned first... I think this idea is really retarded. Whoever wants to buy the static and has the gold should get. Buying statics at auction is only going to make it to where the buyer is going to have a hard ass time trying to sell it. Not only that the auction may be at a bad time for some people and also people can just lie on forums so its pointless..
If you wanted to start auctioning statics it should have been done properly with a script in game not all hillbilly over forums. Once again this idea is stupid. In my opinion auctions should only take place if they are needed. For example say a player has a high profile static and was banned and another player requests to buy it.. Well then it should be put up for auction.. Or something along those lines.. Not a never owned property being auctioned that's retarded.

That wouldn't be fair to other players if statics were sold outright. The forums is an ideal place for statics to be sold since it is visited by most of the community on a daily basis and allows everyone a fair chance at buying a static they may have interest in.
Anyways, an auction thread is not the right place to debate how static auctions should be handled. Make a post in the suggestions section if you think it should be another way. Though your idea only benefits a single person whereas auctions give everyone a fair chance. Besides, a high profile static isn't something that can be declared as it would be a matter of opinion. What may seem like a stupid static to some may be ideal for other players. The static and the static next to it, the ones mentioned, are high profile though since they are right next to the most popular bank and are ideal for vendors.
