This sounds like it's something else than the server. If it was server everyone would be experiencing relatively high ping. I suggest you do a trace and see if you can find out where the problem is.

As I said before, these high pings are caused by other things than the server. probably your isp. Tiesto has it as well, and his ping increases to 800 before the packet has even reached the ocean.

the new server will fix lag spikes and freezes and probably prevent one or 2 of the weird crashes we have experienced

well now i can think that all of it is cuz of my isp, cuz none of you people slow up like we Dominicans do. the thing is, when i do internet speed checks, they are perfectly normal, within standard parameters.
What can i do to fix it up? or wat can i tell my isp to help me with this??
cuz this suxxx, i can only play like between 11pm and 7am.... and it was alright before! it all just started like a week ago.

Speed in UO (ping) doesn't have super much to do with download speed (band width).
