Ah. That is actually my main problem. If I try to loot a res robe, I crash. It also happens at the other times I posted.
I also have the latest client (6.0.4).

I've been having this same problem as well. I read somewhere that its possibly the client. I've switched to 5.0.9.1 Patch 61 and "so far" its been much improved. Try it out may work for you

I have not had any related problems that I noticed, and I don't patch at all when I install UO (because I get many more problems that are way worse than this).
*edit*
Even though I don't patch, everything else in normal game play seems to work same as usual... so, for me, patching is simply a waste of time and drive space ^_^
