Guys not only Diabolical

In:X

is IN RP
XUO PVP

(What is sounds like to me is a bad case of players who can only play 1 way, rather is right or wrong, and they're not going to try to make it better.)

How about you try it next time? Its fine. and wont change.

PVP WILL
NOT
CHANGE

So stop making useless posts about it.

Wheres Elcid? lol

It's that kind of attitude that causes extinction. We're not really posting to hear your kind of negative energy about how PvP is never going to change, you're jesus and your word is set it stone, we don't care. "This is never going to change!" If the world listened to everyone who said that we'd be in the 1800's right now, and we'd all look and smell like Scarecrow. Stop being a negative homer and try becoming a part of the solution, rather to part of the problem.

And Elcid is some place he locked my thread because he like most are afraid of the power of change.

PvP Observation. - imported_Diabolical - 11-19-2007

On another note, you'll never shut me up, ever. I don't care, if you don't like what I have to say, don't listen to me. I speak what I feel is right, and I only act on what I feel needs to be acted on, if you're afraid of that, then that's your problem, not mine. You can lock all of the threads that this is talked about, do you know what equals? One empty thread.

PvP Observation. - imported_TREVAS - 11-19-2007

Why it won't change?
because you think it is okay?

this shard as long as i known is in beta test, so a lot of things may change, including pvp.
If the majority of players think is not fine, i don't get why it should stay static, just to benefit some players that want to run naked around the world spamming fake spells.

PvP Observation. - imported_Nemo - 11-19-2007

Listen kiddies, Everyone who played Xuo and plays in-x now will not want pvp changed.

Thats about half the shard.

When the shard started it up it was said INR Roleplay and Xuo pvp.

Just because a few of you guys don't get the system and think its stupid to run around nude saying WOPs dosent mean its going to get changed.

If you would like an explanation on Why WOPs are in place and how players use them in smart ways, i can always let you know that.

And trust me.
Pvp wont change.

GG.

imo ***** pvp was slowwww
i dont understand what you guys are talking about with not needing magery, healing

a gh scroll uses alot more manna than the spell so you really cant afford to use in unless in a emergency.
i havent used a nos scroll so i dont know about the manna cost but it used to be more than the spell on xuo
i use bandage all the time wether im hunting or pvp even when someone hits me with a fs ill use a bandage and be ready with a reflect scroll

mabye a lil more detail on why healing and magery are worthless would help me anyway to better understand you

ps. i have hated spamming wop every sense tus xuo and always will
not because it confuses me but because it's just plain annoying, laggs people, and fills up my journal

1) From what I can see, there are is a FAR greater number of people who want the PvP changed to not be so "lame" (between wanting PvP to have more depth than scrolls and pots, to wanting to get rid of the spamming).

2) I couldn't agree more with Tabion's statement that it takes more skill to use resources sparingly and exactly when you need them, than at practically any time its convenient.

3) WTF is "IN's RolePlay?" Im really curious what you mean by that. Its been pointed out that there isn't a single thing that people can look at and say "ah, feels like IN again," so why would XUO PvP remain completely unchanged? From what I hear, this shard is more of an XUO3 than anything (easy monsters, easy combats, easy resources, PvP just like XUO, etc etc)**...

4) But I honestly think they are right that little or nothing will change. Sure, maybe it will be made that you have to use Iron armor to PvP now... but in the big picture how much is that gonna do 6 months from now, when we have more GM miners and blacksmiths? I think the staff has shown to be somewhat partial to where they came from, and it seems the ones who have the biggest say in changes came from XUO. Im not saying that's how it is for sure, only that I will have to be proven wrong before I believe otherwise. Im also not even demanding that things be changed to be more like IN. My point is that it is a lame excuse to say that "XUO PvP should stay the same because everything else is from IN."

**
Easy Monsters: You can melee a dread lord while you go surf the forums... on IN you could get only a few hits on one before you had to back up and heal. They have recently been made a good bit harder, so that you have to heal every 10 hits or so when they get one of their 30HP crits on you, but its still suprisingly easy, especially if you summon a couple blade spirits on it (in which case you dont really have to worry about anything). You can almost do the same thing with dragons even. I usually just sit there and fight it, healing when Im hurt, but for the most part not moving until its dead.

Easy Resources: Regs, Arrows / Bolts, Blank Scrolls, and other things can all be purchased hundreds at a time from vendors. On IN, all they carried was 50 at a time (I actually think you could ONLY craft blank scrolls). Secondly, Cotton fields make tailoring and healing very easy.

Lindenwood

People where complaining that pvm was too hard, now you say tis too easy

honestly you cannot please everyone. Im sure you can agree with me on that.

The thing about PVP here most people do not see the point in using scrolls. There is a VERY BIG POINT in Spamming spells to mask/trick (pretend your casting when you are really not)

You guys will see as tournaments come.

I DO agree there should be a timmer so people arent always runnign around with a constant wop macro on.

Trust me as events come and you get to have some one on ones you will see why its important.

hunting..i agree

cotton feilds..i agree not because i care but because i see how it matters

resources, i dont agree because xuo was always about beaing able to pvp soon that doesn't mean free everything but the essentials were easy
magery, swords, resourses there are tons of ppl that want to be able to do something when they log on not just macro
armor- i agree, im glad that armor will matter when ganking soon

crafting skills are really hard right?? whats the problem

PvP Observation. - imported_Slaquer - 11-19-2007

XUO PVP system I like a lot, the only things in my opinion are:

Timer added to .wop and the server side filter Maka talked about, I think using WOP like an occasion .wop Kal Vas Flam to make them think to heal is how it should be, not constant spam at 400 miles an hour.

Elven bows need nerfed.

Weapons need more diversity in loot and in use.

EB implemented as it was on INR

Everything else is fine, and I would love to see these people in a tourney without spam not using bandages and just FSing 3x and expecting to win...don't work like that, there is some skill in 1v1 pvp here, granted it isn't as balanced as other types of PVP, but there definately is skill in it.

FWIW (to everyone), Im not really complaining about them, just pointing out that they aren't like what IN had.

PvP Observation. - imported_wold - 11-19-2007

i think we all need to adjust to the xuo style pvp.

the only concern i have is that armor/melee should have some sort of input on the pvp. If we could keep xuo style pvp but make it so we have hand to hand combat combined with wearing good armor i'd be happy.

and i dont think its right to say IN got everything you guys "only got the PvP"(PvP is a huge part of UO HUGE)... the shard barely resembles IN... just coz crafts were made a lil harder and theres like 1 or 2 people who RP. Every shard who wants lasting value has harder crafts. I think xuo players should be very happy they got one of the biggest parts of uo to their liking. Big Grin

All in all though i think its a new shard new way to pvp and im sure once we learn how to pvp we will all have fun doin it.

I'm new to the whole XUO PvP, But Slaquer sounds about right.
