Magic arrow uses 1 OR 2 sulferous ash at the moment. If you have only one SA in your backpack, it just uses that one, but the minute you stash more SA >2 it uses 2.

In the meantime if you dont like the 2sa useage yo could just make a macro that takes 1 sa from your bank and then cast the spell and just loop it, that way you only would use 1 sa for each magic arrow. that is if what Naitsir says its correct.
