even though deniro wasn't serious, i think that's a cool idea.
problem is the UO client sucks balls and proper acceleration wouldn't be possible without being terribly ugly/choppy.

actually guys lol i was talking about making rides that you bought at a stable
(purchased from a vendor) slower than say a stang tamed by a master tamer
i was never into rp or anythig but i would never buy a stang or anything from a person for 1500gp
when i could just get a regular horse for 200gp
i think that itll help economy too cause ppl that like to gank on horses and stuff wont be just going to the stables cause there rides are slow
much like potions the ones you buy at the mage shop arent gm so they dont work as well

yea, but think about how slow monsters move... they move slower just by pausing on each block.
would you want to use a horse like that? ...ever? it'd be like being paralyzed for half a second every step...or severe lag.

The problem whit this idear..
1: It wold be wery easy to fix the speed on a vendor horse whit speed hack
2: The idear whit uo pvp is that u win becouses ure are better at pvp. then we shod stop the shard here and go start playing wow(Crap)....

There are 4 speeds in UO.
1: Walking.
2: Running.
3: Walking mounted(riding).
4: Running mounted(ridin fast:p).
I think that 2 and 3 are the same speed, so there is actually 3 speeds. This can't be done without some serious client/packet changes

i didnt know enough about the way speeds work in runuo or runuo for that matter
also for the record lol
i wasnt saying we should slow the vendor rides to the point it would be like lagg only that tamed horses should have a edge
and i figured it would be easier to slow vendor horses rather than speed up player tamed ones (forgot who i was replyin to on this one)
