it only took me 3 weeks to be able to be in top 10 ladder. after a few months i even came at #1!!!!.. but then smeagol allways ruined for me =)

May I ask how many UO-servers you've tried where the PVP is based on ITEMS more than skills!?

I've been on a few, but to generalize it, I'd say any AoS shard.
But then it's not the pvp-system which makes it that way.. It's because of all the AoSitems.
UO-pvp, with simply any pvp-system, it's based on skills more than items(I'm not talking about aos shards). And it kinda proves how experienced Odium is when it comes to different pvp-systems when he says something like that. He tries to bring the good of XUO-pvpsystem, and he says something that affects pretty much any pvp-system.

Wouldn't the need of scrolls in PvP make this PvP item based? I mean scrolls are items are they not?

[COLOR="RoyalBlue"]leder, i have been playing uo since i was 15(?)years old, im 21 now.
i have played on many diffrent uo shards during that time, with loads of diffrent pvp systems, and i do not think its skill on shards where you 1 remove your weapon 2 cast posion on the opponent. since posion timers etc starts in a random amount of time and also have a random damage effect.
i think this sphere pvp is the most balanced in anyway, also why XUO was famous. and tbh IN was not famous for their PVP. YES i have tried IN pvp aswell
its quite fun that a person that barely even tried the pvp on the beta speaks about this, like i have stated before try it out for a while and you will realise that its very very skill based. A good person rarely ever loose versus a less skilled person.
why do we even bring this up again, its desided former xuo pvp will stay cause of many reasons and the duelpits is in for testing, rest will be like you guys are used to. im getting sort of sick to defend in and their things to all former xuo players on my msn list and to defend the pvp mostly to all former IN players on my msn. seems like uo players are stubborn and hate changes. well this is a change we all have to accept and in time you will like it.
and tbh fun that you talk about me, i would really like it if you stopped talking about me like you know me cause tbh you know nothing about me do you?[/COLOR]

you have a awesome armor and weapon, and scrolls and pots and bandages etc.
maka is nude and have fists, but he have some scrolls.
if hes more skileld than you he can trick you to flame him and reflect or he tricks you that he is going to reflect but flame you back when you start using xuo scrolls and then he survives with a gheal pot when he flame you back or somthing.
the xuo pvp is not that complicated but there are loads of options in it witch makes it so special, and fun to watch who trick who or who is faster than the other etc.
im pretty sure the biggest misstake former IN players will do in the beginning is to drink at the wrong time and then end up with 4 flames in their ass without tryint to ghealscroll or light the other person back.
