I'm designing a custom house and I am not able to place stained glass windows and certain types of doors. Are they disabled or am I doing something wrong?

Yeah, in the custom menu there are quiet a few things it wont let me place when I converted my small shack to a custom. I think its mostly newer stuff. I thought it was because of the house i had when I converted it but seems others having trouble placing some things too.

Those items are probably from Stygian Abyss which means you will need to install that to place and see them and so does everyone else who wants to see them, hehe.

It used to be full refund. I think now it's like 93% or something like that according to the test I did. You also have to pay a small fee every time you make a commit (like 500-1000g? I forget). The commit fee gets added to the house value though, I think, so when you cash it in, you'd get back 93% of it.

[COLOR="green"]I figured it wasn't full refund cause I started with 650k and when I got tired of trying to get the roofs to work right so I demolished the house and ended up with 590k. LOL

If there are items in game that are Stygian Abyss then why are we all using Mondains legacy ? Shouldn't we all upgrade ?

Because Shade really wanted to add the artwork from Stygian Abyss but a while ago we noticed that running SA could cause all sorts of weird problems if you patch too far. So we do recommend Mondain's Legacy. Maybe I should disable the SA artwork but that could cause problems if players built stuff with it.

its fine the way it is, if there was a way to extract the art and add it into the current client that be great. kinda like adding the custom art that's in the game already

I haven't used SA yet. The current INSetup.exe is for the ML one though. I'll try getting SA working and maybe update the auto-setup thingy to use that if I can find a glitch-free way to use it.
What's the status on High-Seas? Is that emulatable yet? The idea of new smooth-moving boats sounds fun.
