Players are very commonly misconceived that staff of a UO shard are out to get them. The staff here want the players to be as happy as possible. Having said that, I assure you that the shard isn't "down" as a punishment to players, and that the longer the wait (which is shorter than you may think), the more rewarding the launch of the shard will be.

i don't feel that the staff is out to get me (well not yet at least), nor do i feel the shard is down as punishment (though some of us probably need to be punished). But the shard has been down for - not days - not weeks - but months (i'm not complaining just making a point) and most people are very impatient, and by the way i have discovered porn (even that gets old after awhile). i'm bored and need to feed the need.
