Problem i have encountered in the beta... - imported_LiquiD - 01-31-2007

Hi admins,

I thought this problem might be carried on to the new shard, however. I seem to lag.. and when i say lag, i mean theres no way you can pvp. On IN:R i was hitting 190 ping. Which for me, was great. I could pvp happily and be able to go hunting without being killed.

Currently on IN:X i am getting the same amount of lag as i was getting on XUO. I have taken a screenshot of the lag i am getting. The lag is rediculous and theres no possible way i could hunt or PvP at all. I know i am from Australia, but i have never gotten this type of lag on any other shard i have played on except XUO and now IN:X. I have the fastest internet connection Australia has to offer, so please don't come up with a suggestion like upgrading.

Hopefully theres something you can do, as theres a large amount of the playerbase that are from Australia, and ive talken to another 3 australian players that are pvp orientated and we find no point playing with lag that will end up being frustrating and pointless in that matter.

anyways heres the screenshot:

http://img245.imageshack.us/img245/8274/uolagbf4.jpg

and please, tell me if you were getting ping like that, all day (because i have tried on different times of the day since the beta opened) if you would waste your time playing, if you were dedicated to pvp. I personally don't play on shards to socialise and hunt. I am pvp orientated. So think of it on my point of view.

Cheers,

Setep

First of all, razor ping is seriously bullshit, doesn't give you an accurate server ping. What you should do is a tracert, as I've said this before on IN:R, and send them to me. Hopefully I can change the outcome of this by mailing the people that is causing you rediculously high ping. I'm quite sure it has to do something with oversees connection and would therefore be the same for whole austrailia, it wouldn't matter what connection you have. I'll try to find out who to email and PM you the info so you guys can email them to. If we are a more than one that sends similar complaint emails your ping might get a lot better.

Spanish people had this problem a while back on XUO for about two weeks then it got better after a few of us writing emails.

So all people that have redicuoulsly high ping, write "tracert login.in-x.org" in CMD and copy and PM me the info.

Problem i have encountered in the beta... - imported_Odium - 01-31-2007

startmenu -> run -> type CMD (hit enter)
type what maka said

Problem i have encountered in the beta... - imported_Coldrake - 01-31-2007

Click the <Start> button, then select Run. In the "Open" field, type CMD and then click <OK>.

This should have opened a DOS command window.

Type tracert login.in-x.org and hit <Enter>

You should see several numbered hops and then "Trace Complete". When the trace is done, left click on the top left corner of this window (where the little "C:\" icon is). Select "Edit" and then "Select All". This should highlight everything white.

Left click the top left corner again, and select "Edit" and then "Copy".

Then paste the info in an email or in this thread for Maka, like so...

Thanks guysBig Grin Was having a napBig Grin Eg in coldrakes case, if he would have had constant lag, we could assume that its the "11 294 ms 245 ms 250 ms 154.41.66.216.in-addr.arpa [216.66.41.154]" ISP that is causing the lag, this cause his ping goes by 150-200. If we find the troublesome ISP/connection in your route, we just do a little WhoIs and a little whining and you'll hopefully have your connection better than ever.

Liquid, that thing kind of makes it hard cause there is not really distinktive IP change, but these two lines look really interesting.

I'd appritiate if you PMed me a few more tracerts, preferably when you have really crazy ping, and I'll try to make some sence of it.

If you post it on the boards, remove your own IP, like Coldrake didTongue
